How far in advance...?
Tourist Class trains can only be booked 3 month (90 days) in advance. Premier Classe trains can be booked one year (12 month) in advance. See Month and Fares on the timetables.

How much luggage?
Allowance is made for 25kg luggage p/adult fare paid. Extra can be checked in at the luggage department for approx. R 5 p/kg.

Tourist Class and Premier Classe train routes were rationalised on 15 January 2013 and are listed with schedule, times and ticket price on this website. Booking in advance is essential.

A *NEW* Premier Classe train service has been added! Route: Johanneburg - Port Elizabeth. Travels on Fridays, returns on Sundays. Frequency: Twice per week. Train journey 20hours. Timetable & fares»

Port Elizabeth!
The Premier Classe coaches on route Jo'burg - Port Elizabeth are part and parcel of the Tourist Class train schedule and can only be booked 90 days in advance.
